Describe your work.
I am the Queen of Glue and my work is contemporary narrative with gothic undertones.

Darlene Olivia McElroy, Santa Fe collage and mixed media artistIs there something unusual about you as an artist?
The things that make you unusual as a person make you unusual as an artist. I traveled completely around the world solo for two adventure filled years and the sights I saw and what I experienced come out in my art. Probably the most unusual experience was killing a 4 foot rattlesnake and having a rattlesnake pesto pasta party for my friends. Definitely a warrior princess moment.

Where do you show your work; or where is your work available?
My work can be seen at Sandy Carson Gallery in Denver, Victoria Boyce in Scottsdale, Artistas de Santa Fe and Contemporary Hispanic Market in Santa Fe evey July. You can also check out my website: darleneoliviamcelroy.com

What moves you?
Colors, words,texture and tropical skies.
